I know I just threw out a super bold statement.

Physically, this is impossible. But technically I can do that. And I will.

How am I going to do that? Firstly, I need some of your time. Not much. Just 5 minutes.

I know what you are thinking about. There never is enough time. I have this conversation will people all the time.

This is actually the only thing that we have in common with everybody else in the world. Time.

Right now, time is ticking.

You can’t stop that. You can’t control that. But what you can do is decide what you do with it.

“Oh wow. Thanks Sherlock. I have so much work to do that I can hardly get up from my desk to go to the bathroom and I have to do a lot of overtime. There isn’t enough time.”

Exactly. That’s the thing.

There never is enough time. Or at least so it seems.

Most of the times I hear that the time isn’t right. Not the weather. But the time.

  • It’s not the right time to look for that job.
  • It’s not the right time to start that business.
  •  It’s not the right time to take that holiday.
  • It’s not the right time to ask for a promotion.
  • It’s not the right time to start a new relationship.
  •  It’s not the right time to call someone.
  • It’s not the right time to have that talk with that someone that you definitely should have that conversation with.

Do you see the pattern?

Here’s a secret I have.

I love patterns. Because they give you a glimpse in the mind of the person. The behavior or language patterns you have are a small window inside of how you think.

And time ties everything together.

“OK, Steven, thanks for the preaching. But how does that give me more time?”

I’ll come to that right now. In fact, I will even give you The 3 Stages Of Change to create free time for yourself.

How does that work? You see, the principle is very simple. It’s a small change in perspective.

You and me… we want more time.

  • More time to spend with the family
  • More time to spend with our friends
  • More time to go on holidays
  • More time in the day to finish work
  • More time to play golf
  • More time to grow your business

And at the same time there are too many rules about “time”.

  • You have to wake up at 4 a.m.
  • Spend more time with people that are more successful than you.
  • Spend some time with people that are at the same level with you.
  • Spend less time with people that aren’t as successful as you

Everything that I just said is a complete waste of time. Complete and utter bollocks.

This way the only thing that happens is you not giving yourself the opportunity to actually go after what you really want.

To actually go and discover and create the life that you actually want

But how can you know what you are good at?

In my 5 years of coaching I can honestly say that the thing that most people want an answer to is “Who am I?”.

Because when you find out who you are and what you are good at, you will automatically find out the life that you want to create for yourself. And the decision of how you spend your time will come innately.

And you will consciously start spending your time on things that really matter.

What most people do is to actually try and skip to the end.

We only see the end result. People that are more successful than us. Without even considering the process behind it.

We want to jump from where we are now directly to the end result. In reality you can’t. Because there are 3 stages of change

  1. Stage One: Curiosity
  2. Stage Two: Awareness
  3. Stage Three: The Change

Right now, most people are in the Curiosity stage. They see people enjoying their success and they can’t stop thinking:

“How come Stacy gets those promotions but I can’t”

“How is John getting more sales than I do using the same methods?”

You can’t go to stage three without getting to stage two. And you can’t go to stage two without starting somewhere.

Yes, there are so many places where you can start. And that’s the thing

It’s up to you.

It’s up to you if you want to take ownership of your life and what life you create for yourself or if you want to be the person who looks at time as an obstacle.

As someone who complains that “there just isn’t enough time” … “I wish I had more time” …

We all have the same amount of time in the day. How come some people achieve more than others?

They can’t all be that lucky…

It is unacceptable for people to live a life that they don’t want to live.

It is unacceptable for you to believe that you don’t deserve the life you want.

That’s why I bloody love time. And that’s why I love langue and patterns. That’s why I love seeing people’s behavior.

Because from that you can discover everything about that person and how they value their time.

And what is missing to help them create the life that they want and the business that they want.

So, if you’re sat there on the fence about doing something that you should or feel like you want to do, then you should just do it.

You will never “be ready” do anything. You might as well just do it now. It may not be easy reaching that destination.

But it sure is easy doing it.

The time is always NOW

You will never live in the future or the past. The time is always NOW.

If you need more time start looking at the areas in your business that don’t need your time. Find them, create them, and move your time somewhere else. This way you will find “more time”.

“I have no time” is the poorest excuse to not live the life you want to live. You are in complete control on how you spend your time.

Because what ever you will do, time is still going to tick on by.

What are you going to do with your time?
