Business growth consulting

A business growth consultant for founder-led B2B companies.

Growth consulting here means a clearer commercial decision, not a larger pile of activity. I work as a growth strategy consultant when your team should keep ownership, and as a fractional chief growth officer when someone has to hold the operating rhythm.

The practice

Consulting is the decision. Ownership stays where it belongs.

Companies search for a growth consultant, a business growth consultant, B2B growth consulting, or a growth consultancy. On this site those phrases point at the same offer: a defined look at what is slowing pipeline, and a practical order for the next 90 days.

The work is for founder-led B2B companies in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand. It is not a generic small-business programme, and it is not an agency producing campaigns.

Two ways the work is delivered

Pick the format from the ownership question.

01 / Fixed scope

Growth diagnostic

Use this when the problem is still ambiguous. The output is a constraint, a current-state view, and a 90-day plan your team can run without keeping me.

Read the diagnostic
02 / Ongoing

Growth advisor

Use this when people inside the company already execute. A fractional growth advisor challenges the live decision, the evidence, and the priority. Your team remains in charge.

When consulting is the wrong tool

Fractional chief growth officer

If nobody owns the function, advice will sit beside the problem. Embedded leadership is a separate engagement.

What the strategy work decides

A growth strategy consultant should leave fewer open bets.

  • Which constraint is actually limiting pipeline.
  • Whether the issue is the offer, the channel, the handoff, or the measure.
  • What the team should stop, even if the idea is sensible.
  • Who owns the next action, and which number will show whether it worked.
  • Whether the next resource is a hire, a specialist, or no extra help.

Questions before a call

The name of the service matters less than the ownership.

01What is business growth consulting here?

It is senior help with a commercial decision: what is limiting growth, what should happen in the next 90 days, and who owns it. The work is either a fixed growth diagnostic or ongoing advisory. It is not a slide deck, a channel retainer, or a substitute for the people who execute.

02Are you a growth consultant or a growth strategy consultant?

Both names fit the same practice. A growth consultant, growth strategy consultant, or growth consultancy engagement here means I help the company decide and prioritise. Your team keeps operational ownership unless we separately agree a fractional chief growth officer engagement.

03Is this B2B growth consulting or general business coaching?

B2B. The useful situations are founder-led SaaS and professional service companies with some traction and an inconsistent pipeline. I do not take consumer brands, early ideas with no customer evidence, or engagements that only want motivation.

04How is consulting different from a fractional chief growth officer?

Consulting leaves the operating rhythm with your team. A fractional chief growth officer, also called a fractional head of growth, owns that rhythm for a period. If nobody inside the company can hold the work, consulting is the wrong shape.

05Where do you consult?

I am based in the UK and work with founder-led B2B companies in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand. In the UK the same work is often called growth consultancy. The scope does not change with the spelling.

06How do we start?

With a fit call. If the problem is still ambiguous, the usual start is a growth diagnostic. If the team already owns execution and wants a sharper outside view, advisory is the better form.

Start with the problem

Bring the decision you keep postponing.

Tell me what is happening, who owns it today, and whether you need a diagnosis, an advisor, or someone inside the operating rhythm.
